Talent and hard Work Are Vital

The very first thing you need to appreciate if you wish to know about how to become a good actor is basically that you will have to be capable to act. There are very few examples of anyone becoming a renowned thespian if they cannot perform better than the next person. Yes you may blag your way to an audition, and you will even get a part, but if you cannot act, it will only be the one.

When Daniel Radcliffe was cast as Harry Potter all those years ago, he had already been through an exhaustive auditioning process about how to become an actor, right up until, not merely the Director, however the producers and others believed he was the best person to do the job. Even then had he not proven his ability while they were making the first movie, you could be absolutely sure he would have been unceremoniously dispensed with and replaced with someone else. Of course history now shows that not only was he a great choice for that part but he has gone on to impress West End and Broadway audiences in Equus, and the movie the woman in Black further cemented his credentials.

The same can be said about all the other greats of the day, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina as well as their peers. You may have actors who make very few films, such as Daniel Day Lewis, but each one is unsurpassable, and then you have the jobbing actors who are able to make dozens, just like Michael Cain, yet nobody would criticize his work.

You should consider taking elocution lessons or drama classes in becoming an actor if you believe you have what it takes, and if you are of an age that you can do a drama course at your local college. Join a local amateur dramatic society; they are always seeking for members. This could be a good way of learning your craft, as well as how to get and understand direction. If you trawl the internet you can find any number of casting calls for actors and actresses. They will certainly probably not be for the leading roles, but remember you will need to start somewhere. If you can land yourself a small speaking part, and you deliver your lines well, then you are on your way.

It is a sad fact that for every highly paid, famous actor there is probably at least a thousand hard working wannabes who hope their day will come. The harsh reality is that without talent you actually have no chance of reaching the very top; however you can make a good living by setting your sights a little bit lower.
